Nov 9, 2011 [Noel Guiden] Congratulations to the Clonliffe Harriers Senior men’s team who have been confirmed as the winners of the National Marathon held in conjunction with the Dublin City Marathon on Monday the 31st of October. It was an excellent performance by the men’s team of Sergiu Ciobanu who finished second in a time of 2:20.56, marathon debutante Gary O’Hanlon 5th in 2:26.30 and it is particularly pleasing to see that the third member of the team is Mark Bermingham in a PB of 2:48.47. Hopefully a national gold medal will help Mark get over his disappointment at not breaking 2:45! Congratulations to all three. Congratulations also to Jeremy Chapman on his run in last weekend’s New York City marathon. Jeremy was just outside of the three hours in a time of 3:01.07. We can look forward to Jeremy’s account of his New York experience on this website soon.
