Tonight Athletics Leinster confirmed inevitable changes to the proposed Leinster Track & Field championships arising as a result of the deferred commencement of phase 4 revolving around the current limit of 200 people permitted at any event.
The Leinster Juvenile, which also included the Dublin Juvenile, U/17 to U/19 championships have been cancelled.
The Leinster Jumior/Senior/Masters scheduled for August 8th stand deferred to the following weekend, and will now run from August 14th to 16th, but conditional upon phase 4 coming into effect on August 10th. If phase 4 is further delayed then unfortunately these championships will be cancelled.
Entry for these championships will only open once there is confirmation from the government that phase 4 will commence on August 10th.
To provide racing opportunities for our athletes Clonliffe will put on additional club track races. Further details soon. In the meantime get those entries in for the club 1500/200 Championships asap. Entry closes on Friday.
