Be a part of The Gathering 2013 with Morton Games

The Morton Games, International Track & Field will be part of  The Gathering 2013. The Gathering Ireland is an initiative with every day Irish people doing extraordinary things to make 2013 a year we’ll all remember. The Morton Games takes place in the Morton Stadium, Santry on July 17th. This event will feature the cream of Irish athletes competing against top international athletes, including athletes from the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, the U.K, Sweden, and other European countries. The Morton Games has already teamed up with Bring Back The Mile in the U.S. to promote the meet and in particular the legendary Morton Mile. The Morton Mile is the most famous race in Irish athletics, a race that has been won by Herb Elliot (AUS), Kip Keino (KEN), John Walker (NZ), Steve Scott (USA), Eamonn Coghlan (IRL), and in 2012 by Will Leer (USA). There will be a full program of events including: 100m, 400m, 800m, Mile, 3,000m, Pole Vault, Long Jump and Discus. The Morton Games extends a warm Irish welcome to the world`s athletes to participate in Dublin`s premier International Track & Field meet and to athletics fans everywhere to see the finest athletes in action in the Morton Stadium, Santry.

Clonliffe Harriers AC and The Morton Games looks forward to welcoming athletes, both from home and abroad, the Irish sporting public and our overseas friends to these very special Morton Games. Clonliffe Harriers AC extend an invitation to all the Clonliffe family, current and past members, to come home to Santry on July 17th to make a true Athletics Gathering.
