Updated: Brian MacMahon does the business in Tymon Park CC

Brian MacMahon warmed up for next Saturday`s Antrim Cross Country, which is being used as a trial for European Clubs selection, with a good win this morningĀ in the first cross country race of the season, the South Dublin County Council BHAA races in Tymon Park. Brian took a comfortable win over the 4 miles in 21.24, a winning margin of some 40 seconds. Other Clonliffe: 28th Tom Sherlock 24.07, 29th Conor Keane 24.08, 48th Tom Frayne 24.59, 55th Conor Delaney 25.11. Emma Cooper had a good run in the women`s 2 mile 4th in 12.20, Louise Reilly was 7th some 12 seconds later (12.32) and Aisling Coppinger 15th (13.06). Full results on www.bhaa.ie. In other news: Kris Valters ran 1.55.02 over 800m indoors in Sheffield on Sunday while Mark McDonald ran 4.01 for 1500 at the same meet.
