A quick catch up on the Christmas activities of Clonliffe athletes reveals good runs from athletes throughout the lenght and breath of the country. First off on St. Stephen`s Day in County Tyrone Gary O`Hanlon was in action in the 27th Annual Green Castle 5 Mile Road Race where he finished 2nd in 25.56 almost a minute behind Stephen Scullion, who`s transfer to Clonliffe has been held up until March.
On the same day but at the opposite side of the country Aoife O`Connell was 1st O/35 and 57th overall (27.10) in the Farranfore Main Valley 4 Mile Road Race in wet and windy County Kerry.
Then on December 29th Declan Power was 2nd in the Fat Turkey 10k held over to say the least a testing course: Sutton to the Howth Summit car park and back in 35.05.
