Clonliffe input recognised as St. Aidans awarded “Sports School of the year”

The efforts Clonliffe athletes attending St. Aidan’s did not go unnoticed at last week’s Evening Herald Sports Awards in the Aviva Stadium. St. Aidans received the prestigious Sports School of the Year 2013/14. After awarding Sports School of the Year to the Whitehall lads, presenter Des Cahill went on to talk about the achievements of the St. Aidans cross-country squads and track and field athletes over recent years.
Congratulations to past and present  Clonliffe athletes that helped the school achieve this outstanding achievement. As Coach Alan O’ Neill said afterwards, ‘this is a victory for the school and Clonliffe Harriers’
At the St. Aidans awards night on Thursday Committee member Stephen Harkness, on behalf of Clonliffe Harriers as sponsor of the Athlete of the Year, presented the Brother Clarke Cup to the St. Aidans Athlete of the year Clonliffe man Liam Ashton.
