Clonliffe Juvenile All Medal Open Sports this Sunday

The inaugural Clonliffe Juvenile All Medal Open Sports, kindly sponsored by AIB, takes place in the Morton Stadium, Santry, this Sunday May 15th with a 1.30 p.m. start. The event is open to all juvenile athletes ages U/10 to U/16 and features track, middle distance and field events. Entry fee is €5.00 per athlete and the athlete can enter as much events as they like in their age group. Each race/field event, is run as a final. There are no heats.  Therefore if there are, for example, 30 athletes in the 100M there will be three races of 10 ran with the top three in each race receiving medals.

Details;

Date: Sunday May 15th @ 1.30 p.m.

Carparking:  Morton Stadium.   Please note that there is no carparking permitted on the avenue within the Stadium as this must be kept clear in case of a medical emergency.  Patrons are strongly advised not to park illegally on the Swords Road.  Any illegal cars parked may be ticketed and possibly clamped by An Garda Siochana.

Age Groups:       U/10 to U/16.

Entry Fee:   €5.00 – athletes may take part in as many events in their age group as they wish.

Registration:  Beside the main reception in the Stadium open from 12.00 p.m. to 1.00 p.m.

Timetable:   1.30 p.m. – Track 1 – Girls; U/10 60M, U/12 80M, U/14 100M, U/16 100M, U/14 200M, U/16 200M.

 

1.30 p.m. – Track 2 – Boys (as above).

 

1.30 p.m. – Long Jump – Pit 1 (Girls); U/16, U/10, U/12, U/14.

 

1.30 p.m. – Long Jump – Pit 2 (Boys) – as above.

 

1.30 p.m. – Shotputt (Boys & Girls); U/14, U12, U/16.

 

3.00 p.m. – Girls U/10 500M, U/12 600M, U/14 800M, U/16 800M, U/14 1500M, U/16 1500

 

3.00 p.m. – Boys; U/10 500M, U/12 600M, U/14 800M, U/16 800M, U/14 1500, U/16 1500M.

Please note that all times are approximately only. We will do our utmost to bring the event in on time but it is entirely dependent upon the number of athletes who arrive to compete in each particular event.  Your patience and understanding is very much appreciated.

Medical:   St. John’s Ambulance will be in attendance.

Weather:  It is expected to be hot and sunny.  Please ensure that sun protector is worn and that you bring plenty of cold drinks.

Officials: Please report to Gladys between 11.30 and 12.00
