Clonliffe to host National Inter- Counties on November 17th

Clonliffe Harriers will for the first time host the National Inter- Counties Cross Country Championships and National Juvenile (even) ages next month. Sunday November 17th in Santry Demsene.

It will be a great festival of cross country, the inter counties serving as a trial for selection to the Irish teams for December`s European Cross Country. Athletics Ireland are also introducing an international element to the proceedings and a number of overseas athletes are due to compete in the senior races.

The National Juvenile cross country championships will feature the country`s top U/12 to U/18 athletes, with the U/18 championship running in conjunction with the National Junior inter-counties.

As host club Clonliffe members will be needed in force to help with building the course and stewarding duties. Please check you diary now, put it in and e mail noel.guiden@behans.ie to let me know if you can be there. For planning purposes the club needs to know sooner rather than later.

The National Novice Cross Country and Juvenile (uneven ages) takes place in Waterford IT Sports Campus on Sunday December 15th.
