Jul 2, 2011 [Noel Guiden] At today`s Cork City Sports there were a number of our athletes in action. Patrick O`Connor woke up this morning to find himself elevated to the 100m A race, and gave a good account of himself. Patrick was 6th in the 100m A (11.21) and 1st in the 200m B (22.72). In the 400h John Fagan was 4th (52.77) while Ian Rogers was joint 3rd in the pole vault with a best of 4.40m.
Results also from midweek. At the Atetissma Meet in Belgium Danny Kavanagh was in pretty good form running 11.12 in his heat and then 11.08 to finish 2nd in the B final. John Laffey ran 11.32 in his heat. John Fagan was once again 4th in the 400h in 53.42. A good run in the 800 from Conor Healy 3rd in 1.51.78.
