With a break in the weather nicely coinciding with the latest Dublin Graded competition, Clonliffe athletes performed well in Irishtown this past Wednesday night.
Andrew Jenkinson was tuning up for this weekend’s 800m at the National Championship with a 400m run in a time of 52.59. Liam Ashton ran close to his personal best time in the 1500m, crossing the line in 4.15.94. Also in the 1500m races were John Buckley (4.31.55) and George Maybury (5.16.21).
Declan Power was just outside 16 mins, when finishing in 16.01.17 for 4th place in the 5000m. Johnny Bradley Ward was 12th in the same race in 17.59.38.
Safari Aketch was competing in the Discus and finished first of the athletes throwing the 1.75kg with a distance of 31.74m.
Seanna Reilly ran another personal best time to finish 2nd in her 400m race with a time of 61.04. Leah Bergin wasn’t far behind in 3rd with 62.51. Finally, Roisin Leahy was 6th in the 1500m in another personal best time of 5.01.68.
