Gary takes another Marathon plus Irish Runner 5 and more

That man Gary O`Hanlon was up to his old tricks again getting in yet another marathon, his 5th (?) of the year and clock up his 4th marathon win of the year in this morning`s Waterford Viking Marathon in a time of 2.28.05, a winning margin of some 8 minutes.

Also this morning at the Irish Runner 5 Mile in the Phoenix Park, Colm Rooney continues to make great progress as he finished 2nd behing Dunshaughlin`s Robbie Matthews in a shade over 25 minutes (25.08), other Clonliffe athletes in the race included 9th Declan Power 26.10,  19th Davy Byrne 27.11, Chris Muldoon 21st in 27.19,  Mark Bermingham (not on results but was spotted running and finishing),  27th Ciaran McCarthy 27.39, Tom Sherlock 35th in 28.13, Kieran Murphy 29.50, Richard Mannion 32.39, Kerri Page 33.12 (pb),  Alison O`Sullivan 34.16, Bronagh Ni Bhriain 35.16, Pat Devitt 35.39, Trevor Wisdom 35.37, Andrew Eustace 36.25, Chris Troy 38.05 (full results www.dublinmarathon.com)

Young Cathal Doyle was in action for Leinster today in the Aviva Tailteann Games in Tullamore where he finished a little disappointed in 8th place after a fast race in 4.17.92, a new pb. In the long jump Megan coomber finished 4th in a tight competition with a best of 5.50m.

In the Dublin International Race Walking Grand Prix held in St. Anne`s Park, Raheny, ace race walker Ryan Cleary had yet another outstanding international race finishing 3rd in the 10k 50.27. Ryan`s own review of today and his recent Dutch international will be posted soon.

Tudor Moldovan made a trip up North for the Enniskillen 10k also today (Saturday 29th) where he finished 2nd recording a time of 32.55.

Overseas Leah Moore was in Nivelles, Belgium tonight where she recorded times for the 100 in wet conditions of 12.12 and 12.03. Ciara McCallion was 4th in the B 400 in 57.17.
