Good form from Clonliffe athletes at end of season graded

Some good form still being shown by the club’s athletes as the track and field season begins to wind down at last night’s Dublin Graded league in Morton Stadium.  Great to see Colm Rooney back on track in his first track race for some five years.  Colm ran a solid 8.31.30 finishing 4th in the 3000. There were wins for Clonliffe in the pole vault by Ian Rogers 4.61 and in the women s 3000 by Eimear O’Brien 9.59.93. In the 800m fastest clonliffe athlete was Mark McDonald 1.55.45 for 6th in grade A Brian Hill won B 800 in 2.00.43, Tom Sherkock ran 2.04.13 and Sinead Hartnett ran a pb of 2.22.63. The club’s sprinters were akso in action Patrick O’Connor was impressive in the 200 3rd in 22.37. Isreal Ibanu won an intriguing battle with Keith Pike Isreal 1st in 22.94 Keith 2nd in 22.97. David Deigen ran 24.75, John Hartnett 25.2, Fetus Ejije 25.33, Dylan Gibbons 25.6. Ciara McCallion was 4th in the womens A 200 (25.26) and Denise Byrne 5th in the B in 28.29. Finally in the hammer cage Caoimhe Morris was 2nd 41.86 Frances Mansfield threw 17.52 and Simon Galligan threw 50.67 (7.26k).
