The final club cross country event of the season takes place in Avondale Park, Rathdrum on Saturday. The National Intermediate Cross Country will see a strong looking Clonliffe team of: Eoin Taggart, Stephen Cashin, Ryan Sheridan, Daniel Lacey, Sean Doran, Jordan Byrne, Peter Bissett and Anthony Doran look to get among the medals. The men’s race is over 8,000m.
Unfortunately a combination of injury and illness has played havoc with the ladies captain’s plans leaving her with insufficent numbers to field a team.
A full masters womens team will also be in the hunt. The team is Ailish Malone, Emma Cooper, Emma Harding, Aideen O’Connor, Elaine McLoughlin, Laura Kiernan, Orla Duighnan, Mel Curran, Yvonne McDonagh.
