Mid week Harrier round up: BHAA, Graded and more

Tuesday and the BHAA Dundoyne 10k road race, first Clonliffe man was Chris Muldoon in 9th place 26.45. Other Clonliffe including: Conor Keane 27.38, sean Doran 27.52,  Joseph Cooper 28.28, Conor Delaney 28.31, Mark Gilvary 29.29, Colm Doran 34.37. (please text name and time if you want recorded to 087 9599888).

Also on Tuesday Colm Rooney made his racing comeback in a 5k Docklands road race placing 2nd in 15.26.

Tonight, Wednesday and the 4th Dublin Graded Meet of the year in Tallaght, a strangly subdued meet, saw a maiden win for U/17 athlete Josh Stubbs in the mile D race. A well judged run saw Josh sit comfortably on the leaders until 200 to go when he unleased a great turn of speed to sprint clear and win easing up in 5.01.08.  Good runs also in this from the rest of the U/17 squad Ross Kearney 5.13, Brian Flanagan 5.17 and Paul Courtney 5.18. In the A & B women`s mile young Hope Saunders running her first senior race ran very well to place 5th in the race in 5.40.18 with the more seasoned  Sinead Hartnett closing (5.47.83). Other Clonliffe in action Tom Sherlock 3rd  in the C mile in 4.46.90, Nadine Lattimore 3rd in the discus (20.57m) with  Frances Mansfield 4th in 13.51m.
