Tonight, Wednesday and the 4th Dublin Graded Meet of the year in Tallaght, a strangly subdued meet, saw a maiden win for U/17 athlete Josh Stubbs in the mile D race. A well judged run saw Josh sit comfortably on the leaders until 200 to go when he unleased a great turn of speed to sprint clear and win easing up in 5.01.08. Good runs also in this from the rest of the U/17 squad Ross Kearney 5.13, Brian Flanagan 5.17 and Paul Courtney 5.18. In the A & B women`s mile young Hope Saunders running her first senior race ran very well to place 5th in the race in 5.40.18 with the more seasoned Sinead Hartnett closing (5.47.83). Other Clonliffe in action Tom Sherlock 3rd in the C mile in 4.46.90, Nadine Lattimore 3rd in the discus (20.57m) with Frances Mansfield 4th in 13.51m.
