The big night is now only four weeks away, Friday July 24th.

Morton Games is appealing to all members of Clonliffe Harriers and the parents and family of Clonliffe members and friends of Clonliffe Harriers to make a big effort to become part of the Morton Games.

Morton Games seeks assistance on a number of fronts.

Firstly on the financial front. The cost of putting on an international athletics Meet are phenomenal, thankfully we have received support from a number of our Meet partners and we are also lucky to have a number of loyal sponsors. This years Morton Games sponsors are AON, Target McConnells, Commercial Hygiene Services, Behan & Associates, Dublin Athletics Board, C & E Product Supplies Limited, SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon, Loki Sports, Aer Lingus, Last Lap Café and Tucks Fasteners and Fittings.

Morton Games is actively seeking additional sponsors. Currently available for sponsorship is one of the prime international events on the programme, the Men’s 400 hurdles. This event was one of the highlights of the 2014 Morton Games with Thomas Barr resurrected the legendary ‘Santry Roar’ when winning the event from world champion Jehue Gordan. Another world class field has been assembled for this years 400H including once again Thomas Barr. If any Clonliffe Harrier or friend of Clonliffe Harriers is interested in sponsoring this event please contact the Meet Director by email to noel.guiden@behans.ie.

The Friends of Morton Games has also proved to be extremely successful. Supporters of Morton Games may become a friend of Morton Games, in return for a donation of a sum of money from €100.00 upwards their name will appear on the event website (www.mortongames.ie) and in the event programme, friends of Morton Games will also receive two complimentary tickets for this years Meet.

Secondly, we will also require big volunteer numbers for the Meet. There are a variety of tasks to be carried out on the night including general stewarding duties, admission gate duties, a team of people required for the Morton Games Guest Team. Anyone prepared to give their time on the 24th of July is requested to contact Jeremy Chapman who is the volunteer co-ordinator by email ASAP to jerosixtyfour@gmail.com.

Finally (for now!) we are also requesting all members of the club to spread the word about Morton Games.
