Noreen O’Leary, RIP

It is with great sadness that we advise members of the passing this morning of Noreen O’Leary (nee Eager) after a long illness that she has battle right up to the final lap. Noreen was one of the founding members of the Clonliffe women`s section back in 1963, one of the original “Morton Babes”. She was at that very first meeting of the Ladies Section in Moran’s Hotel in September of 1963 and also took part in the first ever Clonliffe Ladies’ Race down Santry Avenue in December of that year. Noreen has had a long association with the club and of course is the wife of Johnny O’Leary, club committee member, club trustee and stalwart, and mother of Clonliffe Olympian Bobby. she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Our deepest sympathies to Johnny and their family.
