North America news update

Great to hear (after some time!) from Canada where Conor McGuinness is living with an update on his snow cross country season: “I had my first race of the cross country season yesterday in Camrose, Alberta where I finished 30th out of 100 over 8km in 29.13. The course was very challenging – small amount of snow, hard ground and lots of hills, given it was a cross-country ski resort. I was 6th scorer for my team, Running Room Athletic Club. Next up in 2 weeks time is a collegiate cross country race called Stewart Cup, which takes place in Canmore Park in Calgary. I’ll only run two more races after that – Alberta Championships, which isn’t that big of a deal and then Ontario Championships in Toronto, which I expect to be fairly stacked. I will decide then whether I can handle the snow running and do indoor season.”

Also in the USA Hope Saunders continuous to make progress and was once again racing for Wichita State over the weekend, her third race so far this season. Hope placed 101st over 5000 (21.20) at the Fort Hays State tiger Open in Victoria, Kansas.

No news from our other “North American” Brian Flanagan, but maybe he`s working on a “Letter from America”?
