The weekend round up starts with the National Intermediate and Masters cross country in Cow Park, Dunboyne yesterday. The women`s team were lead home by Bernadette Kiernan who had a fine run to finish 16th, a measure of how far Bernadette has progressed in such a short period of time is the fact that only a year or so ago Bernadette was new to the sport and competing in the meet and train league. With Jacqui Dunphy 33rd, Maura Matthews 37th, Caoimhe Cruise 49th, Emma Harding 54th and Aisling Andrews 62nd the team placed 8th overall.
The Intermediate men were hit by numerous withdrawals and failed to field a team: David Brady was 40th, Niall Sherlock 51st and Johnny Bradley 53rd.
In the Masters the team placed 19th: Ciaran McCarthy 30th, Clive Ahern 89th, Hans De Raymeaker 139th and Alan Worrall 221st.
On the road race front Kerri Page was 51st in the Kilconeiron 5 Mile in 37.58 and new member Rachael Wisdom had a great run in the Wicklow Hospice Half Marathon in Avondale, Rathdrum on Saturday placing 2nd in 1.30.49.
