MacMahon wins in forest, sprinters beaten by President!!

A few races around today attracted the interest of Clonliffe Harriers. First off Brian MacMahon had a fine win at the Donadea 10k Forest/Trail race in 31.46. No surprise to see Gary O’Hanlon also in action there although today Gary placed in the unfamiliar, to him anyway, 4th place in 32.51. In Dublin`s Phoenix Park the Sherlock brothers ran the Simon 5 mile, the younger Tom was 9th in 28.41 while Niall was 22nd in 30.44. Finally on the country at the BHAA teachers 4 mile in Castleknock College david Brady was 20th (23.23) just ahead of  Anthony Malone was 22nd in 23.26 (any other Clonliffe please text details to 0879599888, it`s getting hard to spot you guys on results)

And in a shock Clonliffe athletes Keith Pike, Andrew Heney (who also does a bit of high jumping!) , Kingsley and Isreal Ibanu suffered a trashing on home turf in Morton Stadium when they were well beaten by the President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins on the Mario Rosenstock Show (RTE 2)!!
