Sergiu Ciobanu wound up his preparations for the Rotherdam Marathon in the best possible fashion today in Omagh. Sergiu not only demolished the field to win by some four minutes but demolished his PB in the process. A superb 64:50, a new course record. Sergiu has been in fine form of late: second in the National Cross Country and successfully retaining his Ballycotton 10 title seven days later with a sub 50 minute run. Today`s PB is the idea confidence booster as the Moldovan Flyer has his sights on a fast time in two weeks time. With a bit of luck he might even get that Olympic QT.
