Some late updates from last weekend!

In Trafford on Saturday night, Eleanor Alexander smashed her personal best time for the 1500m when she returned a time of 4.26.78. Battling to the line for victory, this time was 9 secs under than her previous fastest, elevating her to number 7 on the Clonliffe Women’s All-Time list.

Brian Gregan was racing in Madrid last Saturday night. This was Brian’s final attempt to try and qualify for the London Olympics. Unfortunately, the injury Brian had picked up during the his European Championship final in Helsinki the previous weekend had curtailed his training during the week. Needing a time of 45.40 secs, Brian crossed the line 3rd in 46.09. This was Brian’s debut in such and IAAF standard Grand Prix, which can only add to the experience he’s gained already in 2012.
