Adam O`Brien makes it a league two in a row

Today`s round of the Dublin Juvenile track and field drew a Clonliffe contingent that while small in quantity was big in quality to the Tallaght Stadium. It was a typical May day in Dublin, 15 minutes of sunshine and 2 hours of cold and wind with a very heavy rain shower thrown in for good measure. There were only about 15 Clonliffe athletes in action but as always some impressive running from all. As per last week one of the highlights was the U/16 boys panzer division in the day`s distance race the 1200m. All 6 coming to line with steely looks of determination etched across their faces. From the gun Adam O`Brien and sean Carrigg took up the running exchanging pace making duties until with 500 to go Adam shifted into a higher gear to pull away and record his 2nd successive league win in a time of 3.34.6. Sean was 2nd with a good run only a couple of seconds in arrears. 3rd place with one of his best runs of the year to date was Gerg Hosseny, 4th Shane Merrigan, 5th Kevin McKenna and 6th Alex Gibbons.
