Only 3 weeks to the 2013 Brother Clonliffe Schools Cross Country

In a little more than 3 weeks time, October 9th, the 2013 Brother at Your Side Clonliffe Schools Invitational Cross Country takes place. The event is once again generously sponsored by Brother and will take place on Wednesday October 9th in Santry Demesne Park, Santry from 12.30pm. There will be a primary schools race for 5th and 6th classes starting with the girls at 12.30 and then boys. At 1.00pm the secondary schools program will commence with minor boys, there will be four secondary schools races for boys and four for girls. Individual awards will be presented to the first three in each race, with team awards to first three teams. A team`s score is calculated on the first four from each school across the line, although schools can enter up to 20 per race, a team is deemed to be 8 (in other words there are only 8 medals presented), all finishers will once again we are delighted to say receive a special Brother at Your Side Clonliffe Schools XC T shirt.

Invitations for this Invitational only event have already gone out to the schools that have previously competed at the Clonliffe Brother Schools Cross Country.his event is an Invitational event. If your schools has not received it`s invitation, this could be due to a change in e mail contact details or for some other reason, or indeed if your schools has not competed previously and would like to take part this year please e mail  clonliffeschoolsxc@gmail.com as soon as possible for Invitation.

Please note that due to insurance reasons there is a limit of 1,000 athletes allowd to compete. Please further note that there is a strict closing date of October 2nd no enteries after this date. Entry will close on either the 2nd of October or on reaching an entry of 1,000 whichever is the earlier. It is important therefore than your school enters now!!
