Big PB for Sarah as women take 3rd, plus roads round up

Last night’s Bohermeen 5k (Friday June 2nd) in sun drenched Co. Meath saw Sarah Bateson make a big move forward as she cracked (finally!) the 19 minute barrier. Running a very positive race from the outset Sarah came home in an impressive 18.23, 8th woman and 80th overall. Next in, and showing a welcome return to form, was Meghan O’Keeffe (19.04), then Clodagh Galvin (19.26), Emma Campbell ran a PB of 20.09 and Aoife Kinihan 22.36. On the team front the girls finished in 3rd place.

Also racing was Cathal McHale, 9th in a fine 15.48 being chased all the way home by Sean Doran 10th (16.03. Dave Comiskey, who like Sean had ran in the club Grand Prix race the previous night, clocked 20.15.

Meanwhile, Saturday morning, June 3rd in Poppintree ParkRun Lee Duddy lead the Clonliffe crew home.
