Jan 17, 2011 [Noel Guiden] The Clonliffe Master Men’s team was in action in the Dublin Masters Cross Country Championships which took place in St. Anne’s Park, Raheny yesterday the 16th of January. Pat Bonass, who swept the boards in his age category in 2010, looks like he means business once again in 2011 as he took the Dublin O/65 Cross Country Title. A very good run also from Phillip O’Doherty in the O/50 category finishing in 3rd place in a time of 24.30 and 10th overall. Next in was new Clonliffe man Martin Sheedy, (note: Jan 20th: the mysterious Mr. Sheedy has now been revealed. He`s Martin Treacy, who is certainly not a new Clonliffe man!) 32nd (25.01), 35th Tom Monks (25.13), 36th Dave Dunwoody (25.23 and Alan Worrall 43rd (27.03). At the prize-giving Pat Bonass was bestowed with the honour by the Dublin Country Board Chairman Pat Hooper of presenting the medals to the winning athletes in recognition of his contribution to Master’s athletics over the years.
