In a little over 2 weeks time (Wednesday, October 5) the club will host one of the biggest events on our annual calendar, the Brother schools cross country. This year due to the unavailability of Morton Stadium we are relocating to Trinity sports grounds on Santry Avenue. We are expecting in excess of 1500 young athletes between primary schools and secondary schools to take part. As I’m sure all appreciate this is a big undertaking for the club and it is not something which can be handled by the usual small group who organise most of our events, this is one where we require a big Clonliffe presence on the day. The 1st race is at 12 noon with the last race due to finish at roughly 3:30 PM. If you therefore were available on the day from 11:30 AM and are in a position to give your club 4 hours it will assist us enormously with the running of this brilliant event.
