The club’s annual cake races take place shortly. The juveniles will have their cake races in Morton Stadium on Tuesday 17th of December with the junior/senior cake races will take place on Thursday December 19th over the 5K route from the stadium, up to Northwood, back again and finishing back in the stadium.
The senior cake race night will be followed by the annual athletes of the year awards night where perpetual trophies will be presented to:
Women’s Track and Field athlete of the year
Women’s Road/Cross Country athlete of the year
Men’s Track and Field athlete of the year
Men’s Road/Cross Country athlete of the year
Master athlete of the year
Junior athlete of the year
The Harrier of the year
In addition the club will honour its national champions and club record breakers.
As always cake race night is one of the social highlights of the year and all are encouraged to attend on the night to show their support for the magnificent job done by the club captains over the course of 2019 – a year of unprecedented success.
