With storm Jorge moving in from the west it made for pretty tough conditions at today’s Duleek 5 K Road Race in Co Meath. Sean Doran was a convincing winner in a time of 15.56, pretty good going in the conditions and over a minute clear of second-place. Laura Tuite led the Clonliffe women to 2nd place in the team event, had been 4 to score a team win would have been taken. Laura was second place woman in an impressive 18.59, only six seconds short of her PB despite the conditions, 14th overall Clodagh Galvin was also impressive in 37th overall running 20.38, Orla O’Sullivan, 38th overall, completed the team scoring in a time of 20.46. Orla was also first junior woman with Naoise Cullen second junior woman in 21.06, 44th overall, Alana Fitzsimons was third junior woman in 21.43, 56th overall with Amy Sheehy not far behind in 21.56, 61st overall.
