Clonliffe Men out to retain indoor team title

The Clonliffe Men’s team who have been the dominant team since the inception of the National Indoor League will seek to retain their team title tomorrow Saturday the 3rd of February at the National Indoor Arena, Abbottstown.

A strong men’s team has been put together by the club captain which includes former National Indoor 400 champion and international athlete Dara Kervick and last week’s U/23 National long jump champion Keith Marks.

The team is: 60h – Rolus Olusa, 60m – Leo Morgan, 200m – Chris Sibanda, 400m – Dara Kervick, 800m – Mark McDonald, 1500m – Greg Hosseny, Pole Vault – David Donegan, Long Jump – Keith Marks, Triple Jump – Niall Counihan, High Jump and Shot – Marcin Klinzow, 4 x 200 (from) Keith Pike, Chris Sibanda, Leo Morgan, Mark McDonald, Keith Marks, Dara Kervick, Brian Gregan, Israel Ibeanu.

The Championships commences with the shot putt at 12 noon, the first track action is the 60 hurdles at 1 p.m. and the event will culminate with the exciting 4 x 200 relay.

The Clonliffe Women’s team have also successfully negotiated the rounds into tomorrow`s league final

The team is: 60h – Alex, 60m – Emma Kelly, 200m – Snezana Bechtina, 400m – Leah Bergin, 800m – Orna McGinley, 1500m – Alannah Cooley, Shot – Rapha Diamond-Ebbs, Pole Vault – TBC, Long Jump – Snezana Bechtina, High Jump – Rapha Diamond-Ebbs, Triple Jump – TBC.
