One of the highlights of the club season takes place on Sunday in Dundalk IT, the blue ribbon event of Irish Inter-club athletics: the National Inter-clubs Cross Country.
The Clonliffe Senior Men’s Team have enjoyed unprecedented success in recent years and have been the dominant force in Irish Cross Country in recent years with ten team titles clocked up since the year 2000. The men are also defending champions and the team this year includes defending National Cross Country Champion Sergiu Ciobanu.
The senior men’s team is: Gary O’Hanlon, Sergiu Ciobanu, Brian MacMahon, Colm Rooney, Jayme Rossiter, Tudor Mircea, John Heneghan and Ian Guiden.
The Junior men’s team: Aaron Hanlon, Cathal Doyle, Adam O’Brien, Brian Flanagan, Sean Carrigg, Josh Stubbs, Ross Kearney and Niall Norman.
Senior Women: Sara McCormack, Ailish Malone, Eimear O’Brien, Maura Matthews, Jacqui Dunphy.
Junior Women: Hope Saunders, Laura Tuite, Alannah Cooley, Greta Strymete, Stephanie McCaul and Sally Ahern.
