Mar 21, 2010 [] Alistair Cragg completed his debut half marathon today with a 7th place finish and a time of 61.58 mins in New York.
Running with the main group through 5k (14.34) Alistair was dropped in the next section as the race covered the hilly parts of Central Park.
With a 10km time of 29.12 Cragg was still amongst the top 10. Slowing towards the end of the race he maintained a high tempo and was rewarded with a very solid time and was only 6 seconds from 5th place.
His 5km splits were 14.36/14.46/14.36/15.11. His time places him third on the all time Irish half marathon list. Post race Alistair announced his intention to run the European 10,000m in the Summer.
