Day 3 of the GloHealth National Juvenile Championships and yet another trip to Tullamore. A small team of Clonliffe athletes in action today. The 1500s provided the high light today where Craig Giles had an excellent outing in the U/16 boys race, running a fine race Craig was an excellent 3rd place in 4.15.74, just reward for his hard training all year round.
In the U/15 race Cian Bolger continues to impress as he placed 7th in 4.32.28. In the U/17 race Joseph Hession was 15th (4.28.95) with Alex Hogan 16th (4.29.76). Adam O`Brien had a busy day running 4.16.69 in his heat and then running 4.17.97 while placing 9th in the final. Alannah Cooley placed 10th in the U/18 1500 (5.12.51). In the U/19 boys 1500, Cathal Doyle, no doubt somewhat heavy legged after his 3000 win yesterday was 8th in 4.31.99 with Josh Stubbs 10th in 4.35.89.
Finally in the 200 Caitlin O`Reilly ran 26.38 in qualifying for the final and then was in that unlucky 4th place in the final (25.93).
On the roads Conor Healy continues towards full fitness finishing 4th in the Dunleer 4 mile 21.10, today.
