ERP Xmas Cracker final instructions

Tomorrow, Sunday the 30th, the ERP Christmas Cracker 5k in association with Alone takes place in Santry @ 12.00 noon. On line entry is closed however late entries are accepted on the day @ €25.00 until 11.30am.

Final Instructions:

Race date and start time: Sunday 3oth  of December at 12.00

On Line Entry: Closed

Late entries: Taken in the Clonliffe club bar. Late entries taken on the day from 10.00 a.m. until 11.30 a.m. Please note that no entries whatsoever will be taken after 11.30a.m.

Race check-in: Clonliffe Harriers clubhouse, Morton Stadium Santry.

Entry fee: €20.00 on line (now closed). On the day €25.00.

Numbers: To be collected from the hall in the Clonliffe clubhouse from 10.00 a.m.

ERP Draw: On race day bring along either a used battery operated or electric appliance or ten used batteries (all for recycling), you will be given a ticket and entered into a draw courtesy of European Recycling Platform. The draw will take place after the prize-giving in the Clonliffe club bar. Prizes courtesy of ERP.

Car parking: Limited car parking available in the stadium. Please note that the avenue in the stadium must be kept clear of cars at all times.

Parking in Santry area: Please do not park on the Swords Road as cars parked on the Swords Road will be dealt with by the Gardaí by either parking tickets or removal by the Gardaí of cars which are illegally parked.

Public transport: The Morton Stadium is well serviced by public transport in particular the numbers 41, 33 and number 16.

Race start: On the track in the Morton Stadium @12.00. Please assemble at start area at 11.50am.

Course: The race will leave the stadium turning left up the Swords Road heading in the direction of the airport, turning left at Northwood, proceeding down the length of Northwood before turning left at the Ballymun Road, left again at Santry Avenue (Santry Cross), proceeding down the length of Santry Avenue, turning left again at the Swords Road and left back into the stadium where the athletes will run 300 metres on the track and the race will finish on the track.

Course Map:

Changing facilities: Limited changing facilities will be available in the stadium.

Toilets: Located in the stadium.

Prizes: 1st 3 senior men and women, 1st 3 junior men and women, 1st 2 master men and women o/40, 50, 60 and 70

Prize presentation: The presentation of prizes will take place in the Clonliffe bar, upstairs in the clubhouse asap after the race.

Results: Will be published on this website on Sunday afternoon.

Health and Safety: St. John’s Ambulance will be in attendance to deal with any medical emergencies. Please note that as this race takes place on the public roadway you must be aware of traffic as the road will not be closed. Entrants are, therefore, primarily responsible for their own safety. On course marshals and the Gardaí will be there to assist. Please obey the instructions of all marshals.

Stewards: Please report to the stadium for briefing at 10.30 am, even if you haven`t signed up but are available come along. Jobs for all!
