Last night, in nearly ideal conditions, the first race of the 2012 Gerand Prix series took place. Actual results below, with Darren Reilly first man home and continuing to show good form. The winner in the handicap was Paul Carolan who beat his handicap time by 9 seconds followed by Colm Breen and then Stephen Byrne. There was frustration for a few runners who did not do the 20 laps, an error easy to make with so many runners on the track.
There are 80+ runners in this years series, all will be put on the team for the team competition. Thanks to the Grand Prix committee for sponsoring the prizes on the night and a special thanks to all of the officials who helped out on the night.
