Great news from Longford this afternoon as two Clonliffe men take the spoils in the Longford Marathon and Half Marathons. Sergiu Ciobanu confirmed his status as the most prolific marathon runner in the country with yet another marathon win : Cork, Belfast, National, Connemara, Longford (several times), Bogtrotters (Strokestown) to name but a few, and now once again Longford. Sergiu`s winning time today was 2:29.29. Another prolific man on the roads around the country, over the half marathon distance, this year has been Lorcan Cronin. Today Lorcan added the Lonford Half Marathon title (69:59) to his Wexford and Wicklow titles.
