Huge numbers entered for next weeks Brother/Clonliffe Schools X.C.

Entry closed last night for the Brother at your side Clonliffe Schools Cross Country with schools from the greater Dublin area and beyond responding in huge numbers for the Leinster Schools Cross Country seasons opener with some 1,250 young athletes entered. The primary schools races have received a total entry of in excess of 320 while there are over 900 entered for the secondary schools programme.

Action gets underway on the 10th of October with the primary school girls race at 12.30 p.m. The full programme and race distances is as follows:

Primary school boys 1000 metres

From 1 p.m. – secondary schools – minor girls 1000 metres

Minor boys – 1500 metres

Junior girls – 2000 metres

Junior boys – 2500 metres

Inter girls – 2500 metres

Inter boys – 3000 metres

Senior girls – 2500 metres

Senior boys – 5000 metres
