The Clonliffe men’s team took 2nd place, behind DSD in Saturday evening’s Michael Manning 10k road race in Dunshaughlin. The team was led home by Stephen Cashin who had a fine run to 7th place in a PB of 31.36, next in Karl Nolan 27th (33.16), 49th Sean Heaslip Owens (34.21) and completing the team Niall Carbery, 65th (34.44). Other Clonliffe: Paul Keenan 34.54, Anto Doran 35.05, David Brady 36.24, Lee Duddy 37.21, Mary Ketterer 44.12, Emma Cooper 45.59.
At Friday’s SKF Boyne 5k Road race Sean Doran finished 2nd in 16.18. On Thursday, Roy Stoneley 87th in the Docklands 5K in Dublin city center in a time of 18.15.
Sunday, the 18th, at the Castleknock 5k Road race Sean McGarrity was 7th (17.16) and Niall Sherlock 8th (17.23). Also the opening race in the Dublin Marathon race series was held in very humid conditions, the Corkagh Park 5 Mile in Clondalkin, where Matt McGuinness first of the Clonliffe athletes home in 11th (30.14).
