More thanks from Athletics Ireland

Athletics Ireland have been in contact thanking our club members for the outstanding work carried out over the course of last weekend in the hosting by Clonliffe of the national cross country championships. These championships drew the biggest crowd to Santry Demesne for a cross country event since 2009’s European cross-country Championships. Both the President of Athletics Ireland John Cronin and the CEO Hamish Adams have sent congratulations to the club for the magnificent course and stewarding of the course carried out by Clonliffe Harriers. The director of competition Lizzy Brodrick said in a note to the club: “Hello Noel, I would like to express my sincerest thanks to you, Stephen and all at Clonliffe Harriers, in particular those that helped at the Senior, Junior and Juvenile Cross Country Championships. The support and  assistance that Clonliffe members showed to AAI and the Championships was second to none and led to it being an outstanding day for all involved. The effort put in by you all is very much appreciated.”
