Overseas action

Quite a few Clonliffe athletes were racing overseas this weekend. In the US Davey Davitt won the new York Federation high school 600 indoor championship with a new PB of 1.19.53 on Saturday the 2nd.

Also Stateside Craig Duffy was in action for Brockport University at the AAR track and field championships at Nazareth University, Rochester, NY, he was 3rd in the preliminary heat of the 60 in 6.97, 10th overall and then ran on the 4 x 400 relay team that clocked a new Brockport school record of 3.17.68, Craig running a split of 49.70, pretty impressive on a flat 200 track.

Also on Saturday Liam Roarty ran very well in the North East Harrier cross country league finishing in 5th place for Gateshead Harriers (42.16) at Alnwick Castle (for film buffs this was a location for the Harry Potter series)
