Thanks all you Clonliffe Harriers

The club has received fantastic feedback on yesterday’s National Cross Country hosted in Santry Demesne. This is down to the brilliant team work of our club members. As the LOC lead can I sincerely thank each and everyone of you for the part you played. From the course designers who started work on this weeks ago, to the course builders who put in two long days, to the 30 plus Harriers who donned the yellow high viz tops to steward, to the gang who then took everything down and then picked up piles of rubbish to leave no trace you were simply magnificent. Club spirit in spades. Likewise on behalf of myself and Jenny Johnston to thank all of our athletes and coaches for their commitment, it was an extraordinary sight to see such huge numbers of black and amber vests in Santry. Nil desperandum. (Noel Guiden, Club Captain)

Dear Clonliffe Harriers, On behalf of the Juvenile committee and the children and parents of the country we want to express our sincere gratitude to you and the members of Clonliffe for the hosting of such a great day of cross country running. The course was excellent and the work you all put in was very evident in the very smooth running of the event. Thanks to the course stewards and other personnel around the track who were helpful and efficient all day. It was great to be back to competition on such a lovely day.

We understand the work load and effort involved in hosting a championship and are thankful that you took on the challenge.

Feedback on the day has been excellent so you can all take a bow.

Thanks again (Evelyn O Reilly, Chair Juvenile Committee, Athletics Ireland.)
