A very busy weekend lies in store. The National Juvenile Indoor championships take place in Athlone this weekend. On Saturday the following Clonliffe athletes are in action:
U/12 Boys High Jump – Isaac O’Neill
U/19 Boys Relay – James Duane, Bilal Kanimodo, Jaydon Carroll, Christopher Lynch – sub Jack McDonnell
U/19 Mixed Relay – Rebecca Walsh, Jaydon Carroll, Emily Jachna, Christopher Lynch – Sub Bilal Kanimod
The national spring throws competitions also takes place in Tullamore on Sunday the 24th and in Dunboyne the national 10k Road championships that same day with a strong senior men’s team entered including: Colm Rooney, Tudor Mireca, Sean Carrigg, Cathal McHale, Jayme Rossiter and Niall Carbery to name but a few.
There is also the small matter of the SIAB international schools cross country in Abbottstown on Saturday. Although there are no Clonliffe athletes taking part in the event Clonliffe are acting as host club and the crew will be on site ‘ doing their thing’ !
