Tomas Rauktys shows good form at Dublin Graded

There were a number of Clonliffe athletes taking part in last night`s Dublin Graded Meet in Irishtown. Thrower Tomas Rauktys was showing some pretty good early season form with the European Clubs now only some 10 days away winning the shot with a best of 17.28m a huge PB a nearly half a meter and finishing 2nd in the discus (45.33m). More good form in the field events from Tomas Dorina who won the triple jump with 12.59m and long jump in 5.61m.

On the track Jayme Rossiter followed up on Sunday`s good 800 in the club championships with a 3.56.89 run in the 1500m to take 4th place. Other Clonliffe in the 1500: Philip O`Doherty 4.36.76 and Johnny Bradley Ward 4.44.68.

The club had three sprinters in the women`s 200: Leah Bergin 2nd in grade B with 26.98, Denise Byrne, more noted as a javelin thrower, ran 27.42 and sprint`s coach Geraldine Reilly ran 30.58.
