Great performances by the Clonliffe juvenile athletes at today`s National Championships held with the National Inter Counties in Ratoath, County Meath today. The U/16 boys put on in a great shift in the mud with an excellent runs from all particularily Cathal Doyle who put in a storming second lap to move from 16th to 9th. A great run also by adam O`Brien, who was ill during the week but put that to one side to finish 18th, as both clonliffe lads scorred on the Dublin inter county team to win team silver at both county and inter regional. Sean Carrig also put in a strong day`s work to place 77th, likewise sterling runs from Brian flanagan 88th, Ross Kearney 89th and Paddy O`Hanlon 91st. In the U/14s Joseph Hession ran very well indeed placing 57th and Sophie Higgins also did herself and Clonliffe proud with a great run in the U/14 girls placing 91st.
