Training for all resumes on May 11th

We are looking forward to the return of all our athletes and coaches next Tuesday the 11th. The underage athletes successfully returned two weeks ago and adults are now permitted from Tuesday. The procedures we introduced last year proved to be workable and safe and will therefor be once again in place. To succeed these must be fully adhered to by all athletes and coaches. Please all spend the time to read and understand this posting in full. It is to insure the health and safety of all.

For Clonliffe athletes returning to club training please note: You must be a paid up member and registered with Athletics Ireland. If you have not paid your subs in 2021 you cannot return until you have done so (Please use the on line facility, see menu bar and go to Membership)

Toilets are available in the stadium. No showers at this time. Arrive ready to train all are recommended to wear face masks when meeting up, taking instructions and doing stretches etc. Only remove face masks when running commences. Coaches are advised to wear face masks at all times. Avoid gathering in groups before and after training.

The club house and indoor facilities remain closed until further notice.

Athletes please wear a face mask and only remove when training commences. Please put face mask back on once training finishes. Coaches please wear a face mask at all times.

There can be no physical contact whatsoever between the members of the training group.

Training pods limited to 15. If there are more than 15, please split into 2 pods and these pods must be kept separate at all times.

Social distancing of 2M must be strictly observed, at meet up, warm up, between reps and for cool down.

Please observe coughing and sneezing etiquette.

Please refrain entirely from spitting.

Wash your hands before you leave home to go running, bring a hand sanitiser with you, do not press any pedestrian crossing buttons and if you are stretching do not use a railings or park bench or similar to support you while you stretch.

Do not share drinks, be absolutely careful that your drink bottle does not touch against another athletes drink bottle, do not handle another athletes drink bottle, it is vitally important that cross contamination is avoided.

COVID 19, MOST IMPORTANT:

If you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or flu like symptoms do not come to train, self isolate and contact your GP.

If you have had a Covid 19 test, you must self isolate and not come training until there is a negative result of such test.

If you have tested positive for Covid 19 you must follow all HSE advise and self isolate (do not come training).

If a member of your household or a close contact is waiting for a test result you must limit your movements, stay home and obviously not come training.

If a member of your household or a close contact tests positive you must limit your movements, stay home, not come training. You must attend for a test/tests as advised by the HSE and follow all directions of the HSE, limited your movements for the time duration as directed by the HSE.

If you have been overseas you cannot attend training for 14 days and must follow the directions of the HSE.

Important Notice for Coaches: Bookings must be made for all sessions (track, Santry Park, any other venue when their is group training) by the group coach bookingsclonliffeharriersac@gmail.com

Bookings 24 hours before the session with names and contact numbers for all in the training pod and post session please e mail with any no shows.

If you are a Clonliffe Harrier not with a coaching group you must also make a booking using the same method.

Tuesdays and Thursdays

7.00 – 8.00pm Outside Hammer cage for Throws.

7.00- 8.00pm Javelin on infield. (extreme caution) The area must be taped off by the group coach.

7.00-7.30pm; Philip O’Doherty/Maurice Ahern/Eugene Coppinger (lanes 1-3) for reps only, all recovery on the infield.

7.00- 9.00pm: Sprints and field events groups, John Shields/Gerry Carr (lanes 4 – 6)

7.00 – 8.30pm: Juvenile groups (lanes 7, 8)

7.30-8.00pm: Stephen Bateson/Peter McDermott/Pamela Cooper (lanes 1-3) for reps only, all recovery on infield.

8.00-8.30pm: Mick Fogarty/Noel Guiden (lanes 1-3) for reps only, all recovery on infield

8.30-9.00pm; Open for club members, not part of a training group, limited to 15 athletes in total.

Sundays (9.30 to 11.30):

9.30 – 11.30 Throws (Outside cage)

10.00 – 11.00 Senior sprints groups (lanes 1 to 4)
