With the ongoing restrictions on numbers allowed at events under current government health guidelines playing havoc with the track and field and road racing season the club wishes to provide some racing opportunities for club members over the coming weeks. On Tuesday next week, July 28, the club will hold club championship races over 200 and 1500. In addition that night there will be a guest 400 hurdles. (Entry for these championships closes at 7 PM on Friday, you must enter by email with your name, event and predicted time to firstname.lastname@example.org )
Next up to mark the 62nd anniversary of Herb Elliott’s world mile record set in Santry we will hold a club night of mile races on Thursday, August 6 (this will be a pre-entry event for club members only with entry opening on July 31). Later in August, the date will be dependent upon whether the Leinster junior/senior/Masters Championships which are currently down for August 14-16, proceeds or is further deferred we plan to have club races over 800 or 1000 (the choice is up to you) and 3000.
