The National Intermediate and Masters Cross Country Championships take place on Sunday next in Tuam, Co. Galway. Pamela Cooper has confirmed the women`s team as follows: Maura Matthews, Louise Caraher, Aisling Andrews, Kerri Page, Marie Byrne, Rachel Wisdom, Joyce O`Hare and Sinead Hartnett. The Clonliffe ladies featured well in the Dublin intermediate last November in Tymon Park lead home by Rachel Wisdom when the team finished in silver behind DSD. With 3 of the scoring 4 in the team and with both Sinead Hartnett and Joyce O`Hare running on Sunday another strong performance from the team can be expected in Tuam.
The men`s team, decimated by withdrawals for various reasons, to be confirmed.
Also the Master men will put in a strong showing with athletes like Philip O`Doherty, Jeremy Chapman, Kieran Murphy and others to call upon. Teams to be posted here when to hand.
