Some very impressive runs from young Clonliffe athletes this afternoon and again tonight featuring a great run on the roads in Dublin city centre by Brian Flanagan in The Run in the Dark 5k. Brian coming home 1st to successfully retain the race win from last year. Keith Hodson ran 36.43 in the 10k at the Run in the Dark.
Earlier this afternoon Clonliffe athletes were in their school colours in the rain and mud for the Blackrock Cross Country Invitational. There was an excellent win in the minor girls race by Ella Brown, Tess Lofus was an impressive 4th, with Hope Williams 78th. In the mior boys Cillian Forrester was 18th with Luchino Ramano 30th. Then in the junior boys a fine run from Ben Guiden continuing his recent good form to place 3rd and lead Belvedere to a team win. Finally a good run in the senior race by Paul Courtney to finish 10th. (Thanks to Kevin Loftus for details)
