Aaron Hanlon wins Aviva Schools 5000 title

Aaron Hanlon signed off on a superb schools athletes career in the colours of St. Mary`s Drogheda with a brilliant win in the senior 5000 at the Aviva all Ireland Schools at a hot and sunny Tullamore Harriers Stadium in 15.05.1

The other Clonliffe medallists today were Megan Coomber who took senior long jump silver with a jump on 5.41m and Ryan Cleary silver also, in the senior race walk (14.21.15)

In the 1500m a somewhat off form Alex Hogan was 9th in the junior race in 4.33.35. In the inter race Cathal Doyle finished 5th in 4.16.38. Brian Flanagan finished 5th in the inter 1500 sc (4.39.70) and Ross Kearney was 5th in the 2000 sc (6.42.88)

The other two athletes race walking suffered today Greg Hosseny 7th in the inter race (11.31.93) and Niall Norman was 4th in the senior race 16.44.65. Finally in the field events Andrea Liadov was 7th in the inter boys javelin (39.80)
