Unusually for a Monday morning rather than looking back today we are looking forward. With better days ahead and with training now back, albeit in pods of 15, and with track slots, we are now actively planning for the club track season. The first of our club Championships will come in two weeks time, Tuesday, June 8 when we will have the 400 and 1500 Championships for men and women. These championships are closed championships and are confined to paid-up members of Clonliffe Harriers. If you have not paid your 2021 club subscription now is the time to do it! (Please use the online facility).
Entry for June 8 will open up next weekend and will be open for a period of seven days only. There will be a further posting on how to enter on Friday. This date will lead nicely into the AAI Games on June 12/13th. The June fixture list currently looks like this:
8th Club 400/1500 Championships
12th/13th AAI Games & Combined Events
17th Club 200/800 Championships
20th National Junior Track & Field
26th/27th National Senior Track & Field
Last year the club delivered a very safe and successful series of club championship events and other club races and we will be following the same model for this year: entry will come through the coaches, there will be predicted times and we will then be in a position to hold a series of races in pods of 15 which will provide competitive races for all. With the cooperation of our athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers it promises once again to be another season to remember.
