Clonliffe Harriers will once again host and promote the Morton Games, Dublin’s International Track and Field Meet. This years Morton Games will take place on Friday the 11th of July. The updated event site is www.mortongames.ie
Clonliffe Harriers receives funding from our event partners Athletics Ireland, Fingal County Council and support from Morton Stadium and the Irish Milers Club. In addition we have a number of loyal sponsors, however, the cost of international athletics is pretty expensive. International athletes have to be hosted in that the Meet provides accommodation and meals for the duration of their stay with us in Dublin, there is also prize money provided for athletes and then there is a whole range of additional costs incurred from the cost of television coverage to the cost of promotion of the event, printing costs, programme costs etc. The Morton Games needs the financial support of additional sponsors. There are a range of sponsorship opportunities available for corporate sponsors and this is something which may appeal to club members who may be involved in the corporate world or indeed the parents of club members who may similarly be involved with a business who may like to come on board.
